What do I need at the table?

A device for your DM controls and a second display for the game view. You can move a browser window to a connected TV, monitor, or projector. A separate device can also open the campaign’s game screen after signing in.

Is dm-screen.com free?

The core tools for running your game are free. Optional paid extras include dice customization and additional soundboard slots. You can get started by creating an account.

Can I use my own maps?

Yes. Upload static images or animated GIF, MP4, and WebM maps. Add fog, shapes and area effects in the map editor, then activate the map for your campaign.

Do my players need an account?

Players watching the same display at your table don’t each need an account. Opening a game screen on a separate device requires signing in with access to the campaign. Players who want their own controls can join the campaign.

Does it run the rules for me?

You stay in charge of the game. dm-screen.com helps you share maps, follow initiative, and display conditions. Fog is revealed manually, and conditions don’t automatically apply game rules.
